about us
Larger police forces often divide their city into separate districts or precincts. Durham is comprised of five police districts, and we are fortunate to have a Partners Against Crime group in each district. The facilitators for each PAC also attend a city wide PAC facilitators meeting each month.
PAC 2 covers Durham Police District 2, mostly area North of downtown. PAC2 covers an area of 32 square miles, We have 71 sworn officers that includes the High Enforcement Abatement Team (HEAT) and the criminal investigations Division (CID) within the district. PAC2 meets every 2nd Monday of the month from 6-8 pm at the DPS Training Facility, 2107 Hillandale Rd (corner of Hillandale & Carver). This meeting is a chance for District 2 citizens to voice concerns and either have them addressed by Durham departments (such as Police, Sheriff, Neighborhood Improvement Services, Parks & Rec, Citizen Observer Patrol, and others) or be pointed in the right direction as to who to contact. Meetings also include a short presentation on various topics.
